Raymond Carrance CZANARA
Raymond Carrance (1921–1998), known by the pseudonym Czanara, was a French photographer and illustrator active during the 1950s and 60s. He created a private collection of homoerotic dreamscapes, blending photography and drawing with surrealistic imagery. Carrance also illustrated literary works, including Henry de Montherlant’s La Ville dont le prince est un enfant. His art, rediscovered posthumously, is now celebrated for its poetic and introspective qualities.
