Don GENE BELL
Don Gene Bell (1935–2020) was an American artist, educator, and curator. He worked across painting, sculpture, illustration, and design. Bell taught at SUNY Binghamton from 1968 to 1997 and studied at Indiana University, where he later curated exhibitions. His works appear in collections like the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Leslie-Lohman Museum. In 2023, Indiana University hosted a major retrospective with over 500 pieces donated by his partner, Bob Varga.
