This Shipping Policy describes how IMAGO DEI SL ships the works and other items purchased through www.imagodei.es. It is part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

1. Where we ship

Imago Dei ships worldwide. Some destinations may require additional customs documentation; we will inform you in advance if this is the case for your order.

2. How we ship

Each order is shipped from our gallery in Barcelona (Calle Diputació, 187 — 08011 Barcelona, Spain). Depending on the value, size and fragility of the work, we use:

Specialised art transport companies for original artworks, especially for framed, large or particularly fragile pieces.
Reputable international carriers (such as UPS, DHL, FedEx, MRW or SEUR) for books, catalogues, posters, postcards, small objects and editioned works.
Hand delivery in Barcelona or Madrid for purchases agreed in advance with our team.

All shipments are sent with museum-grade packaging and, where the value of the work or the customer’s request justifies it, with dedicated transport insurance covering the work from collection to delivery.

3. Shipping cost

The cost of shipping depends on the size, weight, value, destination and chosen service for each order. For this reason:

The shipping cost is not included in the product price.
The shipping cost is calculated and confirmed with you before dispatch, once we have prepared the work for shipment.
We will send you a written quote (by email) before charging any shipping fee.

4. Estimated delivery times

Delivery times are estimated and counted from the moment the order leaves our gallery, not from the date of payment.

Spain (mainland): 3 to 7 business days.
European Union: 5 to 12 business days, depending on country.
Rest of the world: 10 to 20 business days, depending on destination and customs clearance.

Specialised art transport may require additional time for collection, conditioning and routing. We will indicate the realistic timeframe for your order at the moment of confirmation.

5. Order tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with the tracking number and the carrier’s tracking link, whenever the chosen service supports it.

For dedicated art transport, the carrier may instead provide direct communications and a delivery appointment.

6. Customs duties and import taxes

For orders shipped outside the European Union, the customer is the importer of record and is responsible for any customs duties, import VAT and local taxes applicable in the destination country.

Imago Dei will:

Declare the work honestly and with its full value, in compliance with the applicable export and customs regulations.
Provide documentation of provenance and, when relevant, any export authorisation required by Spanish authorities (for example, when shipping works regulated under Spanish Historical Heritage Law).

We do not undervalue invoices to reduce customs duties.

7. Acceptance of the shipment

Inspect the outer packaging in the presence of the carrier.
If any visible damage exists, note it on the delivery note before signing.
Open the package and inspect the work within seven (7) calendar days of receipt.

If you detect damage during transport, please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected] or +34 660 746 423, attaching photographs of the packaging and the work. We will guide you through the claim procedure and arrange repair, replacement (where possible) or refund.

8. Failed delivery or refused parcels

If a parcel is returned to the gallery due to incorrect address, absence of the recipient or refusal of customs clearance, we will contact you to agree on a new shipment. Any additional cost arising from a second dispatch is borne by the customer.

9. Hand delivery and gallery pickup

You may collect your order in person at our gallery in Barcelona, by prior appointment, at no shipping cost. To arrange a pickup, please write to [email protected] after completing your order.
