George HOYNINGEN-HUENE
George Hoyningen-Huene (1900–1968) was a Russian-born fashion photographer who pioneered modernist elegance in the 1920s and 1930s. As chief photographer for French Vogue and later Harper’s Bazaar, he blended classical aesthetics with avant-garde lighting. His iconic image The Divers (1930) exemplifies his refined style. Hoyningen-Huene also worked in Hollywood as a color consultant and left a lasting legacy in fashion and portrait photography.
